Quantifying the Mislabeling Penalty in Cryptocurrency Networks

Detecting illicit financial transactions on cryptocurrency exchange networks using machine learning depends on identifying reliable subsets of nodes as either illicit or non-illicit. However, labeling these nodes is both difficult and costly, as it requires expert analysts to conduct detailed investigations across multiple networks. Inevitably, labeling error will occur. This study aims to evaluate the impact of that error on the performance of machine learning models.
